How to Install ruby-dev software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

ruby-dev software package provides Header files for compiling extension modules for Ruby (default version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ruby-dev 

ruby-dev is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ruby-dev package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-dev *

You will get with ruby-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
